Money

Economy & debt

Fiona's new home comes with a mortgage. Learn what Mortgage Moth Morty tracks and how daily work, crops and sales connect to paying it down.

Life with a mortgage

Money always has somewhere to go

Fiona's new home comes with a debt due every Treeday. Money earned from island life can cover everyday needs, but it also competes with the next mortgage payment on her computer.

Earning and managing money

Money can come from what Fiona grows, catches or makes. That turns the choice to sell, keep or use something into part of managing the mortgage; selling crops is specifically presented as a good way to cover the bill. The effects of missing a payment have not been shown.

Sellmart

A shop and a part-time job

Sellmart is the island shop where Fiona can take a part-time shift. It also stocks practical goods such as DeXaFlon, home decoration and a scooter.
