Your day, your pace
Choose the order of your day
Neverway divides each day into morning, afternoon and evening. You decide when to end a block, so there is room to plan farm work, visits and exploration without a constantly ticking clock.
Three blocks, one calendar
- Morning, afternoon, evening
- Each part of the day is a separate block for Fiona's plans.
- You choose when
- Time only advances when you decide to end the current block.
- Seasons and weather
- The world and calendar show seasonal and weather changes as the year moves on.
Planning your routines
Named days sit on a seasonal calendar that records tasks and major life events. Time also shapes Fiona's routines: a block spent on the farm is a block she cannot spend visiting someone, and character routines make those choices part of building relationships. Coldblood reports more than 250 character routines in its work-in-progress build, so the people Fiona chooses to see are part of planning the day.
The calendar
Dates keep the larger story in view
A Fall entry records a Tuesday task, while the first day of Spring records Fiona's move to Lagos. They show how the calendar holds both plans and turning points.
